New Deal Policies
As you know, FDR’s New Deal was his experimental approach at solving the nation’s economic crisis during the 1930’s and even in to the 1940’s. Today, many people consider FDR one of, if not the, greatest Presidents we have ever had. This is due largely to people’s belief that his New Deal program was responsible for getting us out of the Great Depression. As we know FDR’s New Deal program, which was the ultimate trial and error, was not the reason we were alleviated from the Great Depression. Confer with the other person at your table to choose a New Deal program. You will have a research period where you will research your topic, and you will create a Smore presentation that explores your topic, answering the questions listed within your topic.
You will research all of the New Deal programs below, and will present your findings via Smore, an online program that enables you to create digital fliers.
All projects must include the following information:
1. Year/Which New Deal was the program part of? (1st or 2nd)
2. Description/Purpose(s) of the program
3. Which “R” was this program an example of?
4. Was this a success or failure? Justify your answer.
